Lauren will walk you through the provenance of the meat and demonstrate how she would cook with the different cuts of venison, beef and lamb, whilst embracing the rich history of the Houstoun family and their commitment to sustainable farming practices, you will get to indulge in each mouth watering dish.

2026 Cook School classes

All classes will run from 10am - 3pm and are for a maximum of 8 participants.

Friday 9th January – Elevated Everyday – This course will focus on enhancing everyday meals and making the most out of them. 
Thursday 19th February – Venison Masterclass – A class to prove venison can be used in every meal and for any occasion.
Saturday 28th March – Elevated Everyday – This course will focus on enhancing everyday meals and making the most out of them. 
Thursday 14th May – Venison Masterclass – A class to prove venison can be used in every meal and for any occasion.
Saturday 13th June – BBQ Masterclass – We will kit you out with all the recipes you need to make your BBQ meal, one your guests will remember. 
Thursday 16th July – BBQ Masterclass – We will kit you out with all the recipes you need to make your BBQ meal, one your guests will remember.

Glenkilrie Cook School takes place in our farmhouse kitchen in the stunning hills of
Glenshee.

No, Glenkilrie Larder Cook School works on a demo and dine experience.

Yourself, unless otherwise stated in your session details.

Although we would do our best to accommodate those with allergens, our cook school is run out of a domestic farm kitchen which handles all recognised allergens on a regular basis.

Refreshments, good quality food and recipe cards for dishes prepared.

Those wishing to enhance their cooking skills and learn about the meat provenance.

Unfortunately, currently due to the steps into our kitchen we cannot accommodate
those in wheelchairs, this is something we are looking into, so please stay tuned.

Yes! There will be the opportunity to purchase meat and merchandise after your class.  Please note: meat in the shop is frozen.

Terms & Conditions

General Policy

We understand that sometimes plans change and you may need to cancel your participation in a class at our cook school. To accommodate this, we have established the following cancellation policy:

Cancellation Period:

· Cancellations 14 days or more before the scheduled class date will be eligible for a full refund.
· Cancellations less than 14 days before the scheduled class date are subject to a 50% refund.
· Cancellations less than 48 hours before the scheduled class date are not eligible for any refund.

How to Cancel:

· To cancel your class, please email us at info@glenkilrielarder.co.uk with your name and the date of the class you wish to cancel. You will receive an email confirmation for the cancellation.

Refund Process:

· For eligible cancellations (those made 14 days or more before the class), refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days from the date of cancellation.
· Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used during the original transaction.

Rescheduling:

· If you wish to reschedule your class, please contact us at least 14 days before the original class date. We will do our best to accommodate your request based on availability.
· Rescheduling requests made less than 14 days before the class date will be treated as a cancellation and will be subject to the 50% refund.

No-shows:

· If you fail to attend a scheduled class, Glenkilrie Larder Cook School reserves the right to retain the full payment.

Class Cancellations by Glenkilrie Larder Cook School:

If there are insufficient bookings for a cook school class, Glenkilire Larder reserves the right to cancel the class. Participants will be informed and moved to the next available class.

· In the unlikely event Glenkilrie Larder Cook School cancels a class, participants will be notified as soon as possible, and a full refund will be issued. Alternatively, participants may choose to reschedule to another available class.

Please note vouchers past the expiry date of over 12 months will not be accepted.
